Ok maybe we start with an intro of the team first?

José Ramón Sendra Sendra,
We, Daniel and me, started this company after 10 years collaborating in other projects

I am the CTO and also co-founder of HASHWallet

Daniel Hernández,
Hi all! I'm Daniel Hernandez CEO and Co-Founder of Hashwallet.

Why a wallet, how did you come to the idea?`and what did you do before hashwallet?

Daniel Hernández,
We did a R&D project a few years back, to try to solve the fraud in online banking and online payment methods. The design used PKI technology. We found out that the banks were not very interested in security. They already have a very high perceived security by their customers. After some years we started to look at Bitcoin (2014), and we find out that the technology we had developed was in essence a Hardwallet. So in 2018 we started to work in this project redefining the technology we wanted to use, and the user cases.

How is the project funded?

José Ramón Sendra Sendra,
We have private investors that funded the first capital round

Why incorporate a Bluetooth & NFC antenna?

Daniel Hernández,
The approach is to give the user the possibility to use the hardwallet anywhere. Bluetooth and NFC are technologies that are available worldwide.

José Ramón Sendra Sendra,
The Bluetooth will be focused to the interaction between the HASHWallet and the App and the NFC, now, will be focused to the recovery keys

Is the crowdfunding still scheduled for May 2020?

José Ramón Sendra Sendra,
Yes, it will start in April 28th

Why should I install hashwallet? What's the benefit for me as a crypto trader/hodler?

José Ramón Sendra Sendra,
It a device that offer a great security, as others, but also it is non-programmable and it is very friendly to recover your wallets, without endless list of words/numbers
Also, the form factor improves its usability
There are other smart cards, but they need to be continuously connected to power

What are the recovery options? What’s the difference between Ledger vs Hash wallet? Is it all seed words used for recovery. I believe you stated in a Q&A before fingerprints & seed words are needed but don’t quote me on it. Lol

I really like this unique system I must say

José Ramón Sendra Sendra,
When you initialize the device you u will have to back-up to parts of the seed. One on a SmartSeed Card (NFC) and the other one you can choose between other NFC card or our eSignus Vault

José Ramón Sendra Sendra,
When you need to recover your seeds (only if you lose your device, not every upgrade) the HASHWallet will ask you for both parts of the seed. Suppose you are using the eSignus Vault. Then you will put the SmartSeed card to the HASHWallet and will receive the other part from the eSignus Vault and your seeds are recovered

Why go with a card? isn't a dapp simpler?

José Ramón Sendra Sendra,
So you have your keys, not your keys not your wallet

please elaborate more on security mechanisms you are using

José Ramón Sendra Sendra,
We are developing a non-programable device, so there is no possibility of changing the firmware. Each time that you introduce more capabilities or, as other devices, allow third parties to develop apps in the hardwallet you are opening a breach into the system.

share more on current focus points, development stage..

Daniel Hernández,
We are working already with the manufacturer. In may-june, we should have an alpha version of the end product with a smaller eink display, but with all the functionality. Meanwhile we are closing agreements with potential partners for providing more services in our platform and supporting interesting projects (tokens) in our product.

please compare your wallet with competitors

José Ramón Sendra Sendra,
Our competitors are hardwallets, nos DAPPs or softwallets.
We are a non programmable device, very easy to recover thge keys and with an Smart Card from factror.

how many tokens will be supported?

Daniel Hernández,
At the moment we have included all Erc-20 tokens, and the 20 most used tokens in the market. But we will include more tokens before launching the hardwallet including some tokens that are not supported at the moment by any hardwallet.

do u know if the crowd fund will be open to USA investors

Daniel Hernández,
Yes. Anyone can buy the hardwallet from the Indiegogo page.

is it also possible to copy the priv key out of the card and extract it somewhere? or is the 2 key components the only way?

José Ramón Sendra Sendra,
No, the only way is combining the two keys, and you can only combine them you, because your fingerprint is part of the key

lets talk about the crowdsale, how much funds are needed, whats your target, and how will you use those funds?

Daniel Hernández,
We want to sell a minimum of 10.000 wallets. The funds will be used mainly to produce the Hardwallet and for increasing the team.

how much will 1 wallet cost?

José Ramón Sendra Sendra,
Just now we are finishing the pricing policy we will communicate it soon

Daniel Hernández,
What % of your followers in this channel, do you think that are using hardwallets at the moment?

all sounds very impressive so far,

so it depends on a successful sale, and a decent price for me

Daniel Hernández,
We could have launched the card without a crowdsale, but we wanted to feel the market and see what the users think of our product and if they will support us.
A lot of big companies are doing that, at th emoment

well i think it speaks more to large longterm holders, and ofc question is how user friendly it can be
from the site it looks pretty simple

Daniel Hernández,
Yes…we think that adoption has been low, because the difficulty of use of the actual hardwallets

Daniel Hernández,
we want to provide easy of use in day to day transactions, with cold storage security

José Ramón Sendra Sendra,
The idea is that you operate as with a softwallet but without the security problems

Daniel Hernández,
Biometrics and recognisable user experiences are very important. Also a recovery system is important here.

is there anyway to duplicate the the Recovery Key and the Recovery Seed

Daniel Hernández,
During the setup of the card, you can do as many copies of the recovery seed as needed. Also from the recovery key you can do as many copies as you want. Each of them alone mean nothing, and you will need both to recover the hardwallet. The recovery seed and the recovery keys are also encrypted.

This opens an escenario to solve the inheritance problem of the hardwallets.

You can share with your beloved ones a recovery seed, and depending on the country share the recovery key with a notary. None of the will be able to recover the wallet for them self, till they have both elements.

thanks for this interesting AMA, are there any last questions ?
hope you will give us soon updates on more detailed crowdsale dates

Daniel Hernández,
Thank you! It has been a pleasure. Please follow as and stay tuned!!!
